With 6th sense technology, the limited edition MAX 100 Microwave features both a steam and a crisp function together for the first time as well as an ambient lighting system to allow consumers to quickly and easily identify which programme the microwave is on.

The MAX 100 retains all the innovative features of Whirlpool’s popular MAX microwave range including the sleek design which allows it to elegantly fit in even the most awkwardly shaped kitchens. Thanks to a uniquely curved back, it can be placed directly into corners, unlike traditional microwaves, freeing up a fantastic extra 25% worktop space*.

This stylish, iconic microwave from Whirlpool has been given a special centenary makeover and comes in three sophisticated shades; Moonlight, Platinum Bronze and Caffeine and each include an extensive range of high tech functions. The MAX 100 microwave offers both steam and crisp functions, 6th SENSE technology sensors to automatically control power and time levels for perfect results every time, as well as its most innovative and fun feature – an ambient lighting system.

Key features of the MAX 100

· The new ambient lighting allows users to see what function the microwave is set on and works on the following colour coding:

Steam function – Green light

Defrost function – Blue light

Crisp function – Red light

Normal function – White light

· The Steam function allows users to create quick and healthy meals at the touch of a button with the aid of a special steamer vessel within the microwave cavity. Users simply need to add water and select the food class and weight to ensure perfect results every time

· The Crisp function works using a unique Crisp™ plate alongside the 3D microwave system and quartz grill which all work in harmony to reach the high temperatures needed to bake and fry to achieve crisp and crunchy dishes in just a few minutes

· The patented Whirlpool 3D-System guarantees perfect microwave distribution inside the oven for consistent heating and cooking

· The Jet Defrost function provides accurate and fast defrosting of foods, working alongside the 3D distribution system to direct the microwaves at the food for perfectly uniform defrosting. Jet Defrost defrosts food seven times faster compared to a traditional Whirlpool product and the MAX 100 also features a crispy bread defrost function

· The 6th SENSE technology determines the ideal cooking process for your meal. Intelligent sensors detect the level of humidity in the food and adapt the cooking parameters accordingly for perfect results
