To start off, first make sure the system is empty completely. However, keep a bucket at hand in case there is any odd dripping left in the plumbing. The route of plumbing should be carefully thought of. Leave adequate space for the dishwater connections and supplies of hot and cold water for your washing machine. Simpler the route and lesser the connections, better the design.

Plumbing Systems and Materials: For DIYers, plastic-pipe kits are the best as they can be easily pushed together unless you are experienced with soldering and blowtorch. Adhesives are used to weld connections to make sure there no leaks.

Every kitchen needs feeds for hot and cold water and a waste water pipe to drain out the dirty water. The diameter of the pipes should be 40mm and they need to be fit such that they slope in the direction opposite to the appliance. Usually, dishwashers can be connected only to the cold water supply while washing machine needs to be connected to both hot and cold water supplies.

It is better to make sure that the plumbing is located inside cupboards instead of the back of appliances. This will make sure that your appliances do not extend and sit flush.
